Probably the less said about “Horse In My Head,” the better.
It’s a goofy, improv one-off I discovered amongst my recordings; me mocking singer songwriting with my signature, terrible voice.
Then I decided to add crowd samples so, instead of my empty room, you can imagine a crowd around me. They laugh with me, they laugh at me, they even whinny a bit.
Finally, we finish with an odd sample I found somewhere of (wtf?!?) a singer proclaiming that … a horse … is in her … Anyway, it’s all over quickly enough.
I couldn’t let this “gem” remain hidden. heh.
Horse In My Head
There’s a horse in my head
without any reins
without any brains
and it’s what I ride across
these lonesome plains
of my own thoughts
When we reach a plateau
don’t you know
it’s the one
that wants to go slow
but not me
I want to fly (voice breaks on high note)
I should probably clear my throat first
If that’s how I want to fly …
