Did she come from the trees
Or maybe straight up from the ground?
All I know is one minute she’s not there
Then she is without a sound
Red stains around a mouth hole
Like a screaming red blot
Blue tattoos on leathered brown skin
with eyes both black and hot
She carried a little doll
With yarny red doll hair
Just a danglin’ down thing
in her bony fingered hands
Well, she waved her arms
And the trees began to sigh
Then came a thin piercing shriek
From way up in the sky
I remember you
Do you remember my name?
Really doesn’t matter that much
Gonna get to know each other all the same
She took me to her hut
Way off in some darkened glade
Bade me to come inside
If I wanted to be proper laid
She made a nasty brew
She said from local dug weeds
I only took one sip
but it set my spirit free
She knows the names of the angels
And she whispered me one
It made me her bullet
Ready for her gun
So now I work for her
And you will work for her, too
You may not recognize the name
But she knows you
She remembers you
Do you remember her name?
Really doesn’t matter that much
Gonna get to know each other all the same
I remember you
Do you remember my name?
Really doesn’t matter that much
Gonna get to know each other all the same
WITCH!
