these young people,
I mean,
these young people just don’t

Back when I was a kid
these people’s parents
weren’t even
kids yet.
It’s like,
I mean,
really!
Of course,
back when I was a kid,
you know
the 60’s, man: the 60’s
it was the parents who were the idiots
the parents you couldn’t trust
“don’t trust no one over 30”
The parents and the old people.
But, like
Now that I’m,
you know,
not just an older person
but also and
most importantly
both a PARENT and
a KID AT HEART
it’s the kids
It’s the kids who are wrong
I mean,
hey –
they don’t even understand
fashion
or pop-culture
at ALL
the pants – the hair – the bands
And their music
it’s all soulless
and trite
it’s been done before
What I’ve learned
in this life
I mean
Pretty much
if you’re not me?
You’re wrong.
Always have been,
too.
