I recently traveled to Jamaica … with an Ultraman toy (or two) in my pocket. The toy in question is part of Bandai’s 66mm Mini Action Figure line – small, nicely detailed, expressive, and poseable.<\/p>\n

Whenever it occurred to me and the opportunity was ripe, I’d bring it out and pose it for a picture, often to illustrate what was happening or on my mind right then.<\/p>\n

As with any improvisational process, some of the images and concepts were more successful than others.<\/p>\n

Below is the series as they occurred.<\/p>\n

Weird sleep. No food but a salad for almost 24 hours. Where the hell …<\/p><\/div>\n

Starving but what to eat? Mmmmm Caribbean Coors.<\/p><\/div>\n

That first day, Jamaica just seemed like a hot, crowded hell I could not escape from but today …<\/p><\/div>\n

After 4 days of asking, a very nice woman finally told me she could bring me some Dragon Stout and even pronounced this as it as she handed it to me …<\/p><\/div>\n
