I was shopping at a grocery store last night – Safeway – when a sudden sound caught my ear. I was so startled I almost dropped my wieners.<\/p>\n
Over the intercom system, faint but audible: ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ by the Ramones. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
An elderly woman passed me, complaining to no one and everyone of the store’s abysmal temperature -What? Are they trying to freeze an old woman while she shops? Should I have to bring a jacket to the store just so I can shop without catching cold? – but made no mention of the punk music streaming out of the overhead speakers like some senior citizen zyklon b.<\/p>\n
Nope, she didn’t seem to notice or – wait – was she head banging slightly in the produce section or was that Parkinson’s?<\/p>\n
